The Self-Publisher’s Ultimate Resource Guide ebook version is updated regularly to provide current information and links in the fast-changing indie publishing world, and the authors are actively soliciting input to keep listings current and comprehensive.

In this wonderful age of hybrid authors (those who write for traditional publishers and self-publish), I’ve come across numerous guides on how to do both. Some were informative and provided motivational messages. Others were… forgettable. Why is this a subject worthy of Geekdom? Well, the idea of self-publishing isn’t reserved for authors. I can think of dozens of videogames developed by independent game makers and they’ve rocked! Finding a path through the indie maze isn’t easy, unless you have a good guide.

The Self-Publisher’s Ultimate Resource Guide is exactly that: a rich, extensive, and immediately applicable collection of information and links to every facet of self-publishing needs. The ebook has hotlinks to the information on the Internet, which made it super easy to not only research everything from content editors to book awards for indie authors.

The best thing about the book is the informative (yet blessedly brief) intros on what the section contained. So, if an author has no idea why they’d need an indexer (it’s a non-fiction thing), the guide explains. I highly recommend this for anyone even remotely considering dipping their toe in indie waters.
