Under his protection and in his bed…
For Fallon Wayland, birthdays are just another reminder of her looming spinsterhood. This year is shaping up to be no different. Unfairly fired from her job, dumped by her boyfriend, and oh yes, witnessing the murder of a high-ranking lieutenant in the local crime family… Yeah, birthdays suck.
Ever since a disastrous, hot-as-hell kiss years ago, soldier-turned-security specialist Shane Roarke has avoided his baby sister’s reckless—and gorgeous—best friend. Yet when her life is threatened after she witnesses a gang hit, he insists on protecting her…even if she objects.
The two are forced to hole up in a safe house. Alone. Passion long denied erupts between them, burning away their inhibitions. But even as layers—and clothes—are peeled away, danger closes in. Shane and Fallon might finally have a chance at love…if they survive long enough to see it.
I thoroughly enjoyed Witness to Passion. I could tick every box for what makes me love a contemporary romance.
A really sweet yet strong heroine who is not afraid to pursue what she needs. Whether it is her ambitions, or the man she has been craving for years—TICKED
A hero that is a hardcore sexy as hell alpha, and is not an overbearing asshole—TICKED
Sex scenes that made me melt they were so hawt, sweet, spicy, and tastefully done—TICKED
A plot that was fast pace, intriguing and had the right amount of suspense that kept me on the edge needing to know how the book ends—TICKED
And simply delicious romance. When he said “I love you Fallon. With all I am, I love you.” I was grinning like a lunatic—TICKED.
Witness to Passion had all the above and more. I absolutely loved Shane and Fallon together. Both were a bit tortured by events of their past, was crazy for each other, but only needed Fallon to witness a murder and required protection from a man that she really needs in every way. The sexual tension between the two was palpable and leapt of the pages, compelling me to read all night because I was dying to see how they would finally combust. And when they did it was so damn hot and beautiful. I loved it. It was gritty yet emotional, the perfect combination.
Overall this book was a solid romantic read and I recommend.
